description:

Oxytetracycline HCl Bolus is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms. This action prevents the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosome, effectively halting protein production and bacterial growth.

Oxytetracycline HCl Bolus is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in livestock, including:

Cattle and Buffalo: Hemorrhagic septicemia (Pasteurella multocida), Black quarter (Clostridium chauvoei), Anthrax (Bacillus anthracis), Pneumonia, Brucellosis (Brucella spp.), Genito-urinary tract infections, Mastitis, Wound infections.
Sheep and Goat: Pneumonia, Enterotoxemia (Clostridium perfringens).
General Indications: Respiratory tract infections, Gastrointestinal tract infections, Uterine tract infections.

Purpose and Conditions of Use:

It is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections, including gastrointestinal, respiratory, and uterine tract infections.

Withdrawal time: For meat 7 days

Dosage:

1 bolus per 50 kg body weight for 3-5 days.
Or, as per the recommendation of the Veterinarian.

Availability:
